A Neighborhood Restaurant, On Purpose
The Juniper Table opened on Tennyson Street in 2018 with a short thesis: Colorado grows remarkable food, and most of it was leaving the state before anyone here cooked it. Chef-owner Maya Castellanos built the menu around a dozen Front Range farms and ranches, and built the room around the block it lives on.
The menu changes with the seasons — sometimes with the week — but the habits don't: bread baked every afternoon, stocks from scratch, trout from Alamosa, beef from the Western Slope, and a bar program that treats Colorado gin as a food group.
We're a neighborhood spot first. That means Sunday brunch that doesn't rush you, a bar where solo diners eat well, a patio dog bowl that's always full, and a private room that's hosted everything from rehearsal dinners to a chess club that never leaves.
